The club takes its name from the city of Cardiff, the Capital of Wales. Cardiff is a vibrant city based upon the South Wales coast and is perfectly located to allow easy access to the diverse and challenging countryside that is available throughout Wales. We are privileged to have access to a fantastic variety of canoeing environments, from the technical rivers of the South Wales Valleys, to the beaches and coastline of the Gower peninsular. So if you want to paddle gentle waters, commit to something more challenging, or you would rather go for a surf or a coastal paddle, then Wales has it all and it is on the doorstep of Cardiff Canoe Club.
